Andrea Fuller is a family nurse practitioner whose 30+ years in primary care practice encompass military, private practice and underinsured populations. In addition to direct primary care, she has served more than 20 years in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps, taught in nurse practitioner education programs, and established a multidisciplinary weight loss clinic. Dr. Fuller teaches the APEA Review Course & Clinical Update for FNPs and AGPCNPs. Her teaching experience includes positions at Uniformed Services University and the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Fuller’s professional body of work also includes publications, research and grant writing. She served as a content reviewer for Clinical Guidelines in Primary Care (APEA, 3rd edition) and as a coauthor of articles published in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Fuller was a grant recipient for a study examining the inclusion of LGBTQ health-related topics in nurse practitioner programs and the principal investigator for several research- and evidence-based practice initiatives. Dr. Fuller is an invited speaker at national conferences on topics in nurse practitioner education and clinical practice. Today, Dr. Fuller practices clinically as a volunteer provider at the Good Neighbor Medical Clinic in Beaufort, SC.
