Jennifer Smith
Jennifer B. Smith, DNP, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, ENP-C
Jennifer Smith is a family nurse practitioner with clinical experience in multiple settings, including primary care and emergency medicine. She teaches the APEA Review Course & Clinical Update for FNPs and AGPCNPs and has earned dual certification as a family nurse practitioner and an emergency nurse practitioner. Dr. Smith has been a nurse practitioner since 2013. During her years in clinical practice, she remained closely tied to education by serving as an adjunct faculty member and guest lecturer at Spalding University School of Nursing. In addition, she took leadership and teaching roles in her clinical settings to precept NP students and to train and onboard newly hired NPs. Smith is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives, and Sigma Theta Tau.
Katie Mysen
DNP, FNP-BC
Katie Mysen has over 14 years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner, specializing in Family Practice for 13 of those years. She is the proud owner of Katie Mysen, DNP & Associates, a thriving practice established 7 years ago. Alongside her clinical expertise, Katie has been a dedicated faculty member at Oakland University for a decade. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Oakland University and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Michigan State University. Katie is a 2023 recipient of the Daisy Award for Excellence in Teaching, highlighting her commitment to educational excellence.

Live Course Guarantee
In the rare case you are not successful on the FNP or AGPCNP exam from AANP or ANCC, you can take an APEA review course again free of charge for up to 1 year from the original course date. The APEA Live Course Guarantee is simple to redeem. Just send an email to questions@apea.com and include a copy of your score report. We will confirm that you completed the Live Course and its supplemental materials prior to testing. Live Course Webinar Cancellation Policy
All cancellation requests must be made via an email sent to questions@apea.com. APEA will provide a one-time transfer to a different course at no charge. Cancellations received more than 2 weeks before the course start date will incur a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations received within 2 weeks of the course start date will incur a $200 cancellation fee. No refunds are provided to registrants who do not show up for a course. In the highly unlikely event that an APEA course is canceled, APEA will issue a full refund.
