Amelie Hollier is a family nurse practitioner who cofounded Advanced Practice Education Associates in 1997. She teaches the 2023 On Demand APEA Review Course & Clinical Update (available in video and audio formats), and she previously taught all APEA Live Review Courses & Clinical Updates. Dr. Hollier is a treasured educator, gifted speaker and respected clinician who presents at conferences and events throughout the United States. As part of her mission to prepare and develop outstanding nurse practitioners, she has delivered hundreds of lectures, authored or edited more than 25 books, and developed clinical tools and study resources used by hundreds of NP academic programs. Her clinical experiences include roles in intensive care, cardiology, pulmonology, and primary care; she also is an expert on clinical pharmacology, which was the focus of her doctoral work. Dr. Hollier is passionate about teaching, and her continuing education lectures on a wide range of subject areas are available on video and audio in the APEA CE Library. She has received a multitude of honors throughout her career, including the Outstanding Alumni Award from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, a Friend of NONPF award, the Zonta Woman of Achievement Award, a Nightingale Award, a Franciscan Service Award, and recognition as a Great 100 Nurse. Dr. Hollier is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
