Sandra Petersen

Sandra Petersen is the director of the PMHNP and DNP programs at the University of Texas at Tyler and has earned national certifications in family, geriatric, and psychiatric-mental health. Dr. Petersen teaches the APEA Review Course & Clinical Update for PMHNPs. In her clinical practice, she provides healthcare to older adults in assisted living, independent and memory care settings. Dr. Petersen’s honors include induction as a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, and receiving the National Heart of Hospice Award.
