PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This lecture, recorded during the 2022 Review Course & Clinical Update, educates NPs about the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic conditions commonly seen in primary care. Content reflects evidence-based guidelines and focuses on the most important steps in patient diagnosis and management.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be able to:
- Discuss the etiology and prevalence of the following orthopedic conditions and injuries: arthritis, soft tissue injuries, shoulder and rotator cuff injury, low back pain, hip pain, plantar fasciitis, and knee pain and injury.
- State the common symptoms and assessment findings associated with arthritis, soft tissue injuries, shoulder and rotator cuff injury, low back pain, hip pain, plantar fasciitis, and knee pain and injury.
- Describe the appropriate pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic management of patients with arthritis, soft tissue injuries, shoulder and rotator cuff injury, low back pain, hip pain, plantar fasciitis, and knee pain and injury.
