PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This presentation, recorded at a recent Live CE Webinar, helps primary care providers develop skills in minor procedures commonly performed in the office setting: orthopedic procedures, nail drainage and repair/removal techniques, infectious procedures, foreign body removal, eye procedures, ear procedures, and nasal foreign body removal.
Your purchase provides access to the lectures and an APEA Minor Office Procedures Practice Kit. To maximize your benefit from the CE activity, please wait until your kit arrives. The kit includes an abscess model, a syringe with needles, a needle holder for abscess and fish hook removal procedures, scissors, a lift nail, and foreceps. You will need gloves and a hot dog or vienna sausage to practice the procedures using the kit materials.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, the learner will be able to:
- Describe, demonstrate & practice the important components in the performance of minor office procedures.
- Discuss the pharmacologic agents, methods for anesthesia, local versus digital blocks of fingers/toes, and drainage of abscesses.
- List the common methods to remove various foreign bodies of the eyes, ears, nose, and soft tissues.
